Balint organizing corps

BOC trains the next generation of political organizers and leaders to make change from the ground up.

Change is possible

In 2022, Congresswoman Becca Balint became the first woman and first LGBTQ person to represent Vermont in Congress. The Balint campaign set out to change politics: From the ground up, with courage, kindness, and grit.

Young Vermonters built grassroots power that enabled a queer middle school teacher to become Vermont’s first congresswoman.

Big political change doesn't happen with just one campaign, or one election cycle. We need to keep showing up and doing the work every year, in every community.

Becca founded the BOC in 2023 so that every young person could get the skills to make big change up and down the ballot.

Movements don’t have an off season.

We need new decision-makers at the table, and that starts with the folks who work on campaigns.

BOC trains Vermont highschool and college aged young people in data driven campaign tactics, organizing and fundraising technology, and modern organizing strategy. BOC Fellows participate in workshops taught by experienced political operatives and get hands on experience organizing and working with candidates.
